Vesta – Toronto’s 24hr diner

I’ve been saying for ages that I’ve wanted to check out Toronto diner institution, Vesta. Well last thursday was the night. Vesta, with it’s bright flashing 24hr red and yellow sign, is one of Toronto’s oldest diners located at the corner of Dupont and Bathurst .

After opening its doors in 1955, Vesta continues to serve up morning coffee to its 8am regulars and greasy spoon burgers to the late night in need-of-sobering crowd.

We decided to go with the diner’s staple – the Vesta Club. It was pretty good but nothing crazy special. The fries on the other hand were so crispy and hot – delish.

When you walk into Vesta, you feel like your eating up a bit of Toronto history. Definitely a must for any foodie in the city.
